Application Process

The application process for the Dial Center Ambassador Leadership Program consists of two parts:

  • Part I – Complete the application below. An Ambassador or Ambassador Advisor will contact you.
  • Part II – Interviews are conducted in the spring semester (March). The interview process involves multiple interactions with current Ambassadors, faculty and other candidates, including meet-and-greets and formal interviews.

Important Notes:

  1. Applicant eligibility requirements: Communication Studies Minors with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  2. The required Ambassador Leadership class meets for two hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
  3. Ambassadors earn a total of 3 credit hours for completion of the two-year program, as follows: 2 credit hours in Year One and 1 credit hour at the end of Year Two. These credit hours appear as SPC4905 and count toward the Communication Studies Minor.

Ambassador Application

  • Please enter your cell phone or other primary contact phone number.
  • What is your CURRENT classification?
  • Have you declared a Minor in Communication Studies?
  • What is your current Grade Point Average?
  • Enter the SEMESTER and YEAR in which you anticipate graduating.
  • List each communication studies course you have taken, the semester/year taken, and the instructor's name.
  • List any clubs, organizations or other activities in which you are involved on campus (current and past involvement).
  • If applicable, please list any academic, leadership or service honors/awards you have received.
  • In a few paragraphs, explain why you want to be a Dial Center Ambassador and why you believe that you are a good candidate for the Ambassador Leadership Program.
