National Communication Association Student Club

Gator Chapter

The Dial Center for Written & Oral Communication is now accepting applications for the executive board of our student club. Our student club is part of the National Communication Association, the national professional organization for communication scholars. Officers have the chance to not only have a pivotal influence on the UF Communication Studies program, but to also participate in events at state or national level. The student club will help plan and execute professional development and social events for all Communication Studies minors.

About NCASC

The National Communication Association Student Clubs (NCASC) is an aggregate of student communication clubs chartered on college and university campuses that elect to affiliate with the National Communication Association (NCA).

About the Gator Chapter

The mission of NCASC Gator Chapter is to provide a forum for interaction between students, faculty and all those interested in the study, research, criticism, training, and application of the artistic, humanistic, and scientific principles of communication.

The primary purpose of this organization is to connect those with similar interests in communication and provide networking and education. These goals shall be achieved through activities including but not limited to workshops, seminars, guest speakers, conventions, conferences, community partnerships and internships.

The National Communication Association Student club is sponsored by The William and Grace Dial Center for Speech and Communication Studies at the University of Florida.

The NCASC-Gator Chapter was chartered on April 9, 2006

The National Communication Association Student Club at the University of Florida invites applications for the 2014-2015 academic year. The deadline for submission is May 15, 2014. Please take advantage of our online application or come by our main office in 402 Rolfs Hall for a paper copy.
